I'm a 3rd year at the U of W studying conflict resolution studies. I have been involved with 5 days since the begging of the year having ran a Smash Brother's Tournament. I am hoping that this experience humbles me and helps others see why helping programs like RAY is crucial into making our city a better place to live.
Why I am doing this:
I wanted to sleep outside because I am finishing my degree and have a strong idea of what I want to do with my career, but I am a little lost as to what I’m most passionate about. I have very strong interpersonal relationship skills, and I want to help out youth at risk and anyone who wants to help others. Students and volunteers who are willing to help out and make a difference inspire me and make me realize I can be doing more. After this experience, I’m hoping I can be enlightened and see the path that leads to helping the most people. I’d do anything to help out a friend, and the way I see it, everyone has the potential of being your friend.
